Hillah Nevo is an Israeli artist who works and lives in both Tel-Aviv and Haifa. She has exhibited in various places and has also lent her skills as both a painting and sculpture instructor.
Nevo has studied History of Science and Philosophy, received a Master degree in Fine Art from Haifa University and completed a two-year programme at the prestigious La Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence.
What is interesting about Nevo’s paintings, is the way in which they are imbued with an expressionistic feel as well as a hint of the medieval. They depict an undefined period, and even if the human forms are not clearly made out, a scenic setting is still present. The colours are dark and greyish with only small, bright bursts, but uplifting nonetheless.
